Post graduate with knowledge of all creative digital media and traditional design from graphics to human computer interaction (HCI), including web-design, mobile applications and new media installations.

I have a thorough knowledge of software packages such as Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (PHP, Java Script, HTML, CSS) and Director. Understanding of the database management system MySQL. I am experienced in mobile application development using Java, J2ME, Androids software development kit (Eclipse) and conversant with the I phone software development kit. Whilst at University I worked on several live research projects specialising in application development using industry standard software. In addition I have a basic knowledge of Bash (Unix shell script).

Web and APP Developer (MySQL, PHP, Java Script, HTML, CSS)
Employed on a 10 week ‘Go Wales’ placement that evolved into the redesign of Crown House Publishing’s online identity. This encompassed developing the website from scratch including the design, the database and functionality. Other aspects of the job involved include researching into enhanced eBooks and mobile apps.



Digital Media Designer (HTML, CSS, Adobe Suite)
I was employed to re-develop their online identity, optimising search engine results and design new promotional material.


Labourer working as part of a production team: teamwork, meeting deadlines, observance of health and safety, attention to detail, IT instruction to manager and colleagues.


Researcher and Application Designer (Flash AS2 & AS3, Android Java Ellipse)
I designed and developed applications for pre-school children with learning difficulties to aid social interaction through learning. The applications started as several Flash and Java based mobile games. Over time this evolved into an AS3 Flash animation that used Wii remotes, infra red and sound as a means of interacting with the animation.


Administrative Assistant: data entry, document checking, error correction, statistical returns, remittance handling, standard letters/forms despatch, scanning documents.


Freelance Designer (HTML, Flash AS2)
Over the few months I was commissioned to rebrand the company and develop their online identity by designing a new logo and web site. I worked alongside the managing director and develop the website so that could easily be amended by any member of staff within a simple text document.


Primary Application Designer (Java and J2ME)
I designed an application to scan DVD film bar codes using a Nokia mobile phone camera and for the respective film trailers to be streamed direct to the phone (J2ME Coded).


Research and Application Designer (Flash Lite 2.1)

I hold a clean driving licence and have CRB clearance dated 08/01/2010.

During my spare time I have an interest in outdoor pursuits, usually once a month I try and meet up with people to go mountain bike, mountain climbing, hiking or surfing. Other interests included watching F1 and rugby. I have a passion for mobile design so the last couple of years, I attended Mobile HCI conference, as a student volunteer.
