Post graduate with knowledge of all creative digital media and traditional design from graphics to human computer interaction (HCI), including web-design, mobile applications and new media installations.

I possess a strong work ethic and am equally able to perform as part of a team or as an individual. I have a strong interest in research and development and am able to thoroughly contextualise my work and articulate my ideas and concepts.
Skills
I have a thorough knowledge of software packages such as Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (PHP, Java Script, HTML, CSS) and Director. Understanding of the database management system MySQL. I am experienced in mobile application development using Java, J2ME, Androids software development kit (Eclipse) and conversant with the I phone software development kit. Whilst at University I worked on several live research projects specialising in application development using industry standard software. In addition I have a basic knowledge of Bash (Unix shell script).

Researcher and Application Designer (Flash AS2 & AS3, Android Java Ellipse)
I designed and developed applications for pre-school children with learning difficulties to aid social interaction through learning. The applications started as several Flash and Java based mobile games. Over time this evolved into an AS3 Flash animation that used Wii remotes, infra red and sound as a means of interacting with the animation.

I designed an application to scan DVD film bar codes using a Nokia mobile phone camera and for the respective film trailers to be streamed direct to the phone (J2ME Coded).

Interest
During my spare time I have an interest in outdoor pursuits, usually once a month I try and meet up with people to go mountain bike, mountain climbing, hiking or surfing. Other interests included watching F1 and rugby. I have a passion for mobile design so the last couple of years, I attended Mobile HCI conference, as a student volunteer.
